Volunteer Information
As you will appreciate, most of the Temple upkeep and maintenance is possible through volunteers. We are currently looking for volunteeers for following tasks.
- News reporting for the temple events
- Graphic designing for the web site
- Event planning for the temple events
- Teenage community service coordination
- Web based picture albums creation
- Temple event flyers creation for advertising
- Cooking on Saturday Afternoons
- Taking Photographs of the Festivals held at the Temple. Temple will provide a digital camera
- Taking vodeos of the Festivals held at the Temple. Temple will provide a camcorder
- Teach Hindi Classes for children grade 2 to 5
- Teach English as second language for seniors to make their day to day life easier.
- Teach Computer skills such as Internet navigation, writing and attaching a document
- Teach Geeta Chanting Classes for children and adults
- Teach Bhajan classes for children and adults
- Teach Key Board classes and Tabla classes
- Teach SAT prep classes for grade 6 to 9th.
- Coordinate a Mommy and Me group on Friday mornings for children age 1 to 5 years.
- Coordinate a seva project for the teenagers.
- Participate in writing for the temple news letter.
